These Arc Flash Resistant Belts are designed for electricians, linemen, or those who work around electricity and need protection from arc flashes. It comes with 2 metal prongs that are hidden on the back side which securely hold this hand-made leather belt in place. So, there is no need to worry about getting shocked because these prongs are totally hidden from the front to ensure they do not come in contact with any live electrical equipment.
These belts are made from 100% leather which has long been used in arch flash working environments. The amount of metal included in this Arc Flash Resistant Belt is also negligible and should not present any burn risk. It has undergone testing to evaluate the belt in an arc flash, according to NFPA 70E 130.7(C)(12) Exception 2, non-arc-rated PPE items are permitted if they do not contribute to an injury during an arc flash. Based on the results there is no ignition, melting, or dripping at an energy level of 40 cal/cm2.
These Arc Flash Resistant Belts come in Black color and are available in two widths options, 1 1/2 inches and 1 1/4 inches. It has a slick plain design that is easy to maintain and will go with practically any work pants.
